For some, travel is an escape. But the true joy of travel is immersing yourself in somewhere new to change the way you see the world. This was the foundation upon which Intercontinental Hotels was built. And to bring the experience of a stay abroad to users at home, we took them on an multi-channel audio and visual journey of the imagination. We traveled the world to flagship IHG locations capturing experiences in NYC, London, Beijing, and Cartagena and brought them to users via Stories of the Intercontinental life podcast series, and followed it up with an online film and animated experience through web, social and influencer work. The campaign elevated culture, and garnered two featured write-ups in the The Atlantic and The Wall Street Journal. And as a result, over 22 million unique users engaged online, with over a million podcast downloads. And counting.
